It was a very, very long hockey season. What to do now?
We travelled all over Manitoba, into the USA and finally to Calgary for the WHL showcase. If I sound like I am complaining, I'm not. I enjoy hockey. I love the sound of the puck hitting the boards, the cheering of the crowds (as long as parents do not get too nuts) and the swish of skates on ice.
Mostly I love hearing the kids talk about the game afterward. Although they love to win, they take it much less to heart than most of the adults. Perhaps we can learn something from that.
For now, it's a little bit of everything and anything. I'm not certain where it will end up but for now I'm just letting whatever come to be.
